COVINGTON, La. (AP) - The state highway department has set a new date for a public meeting on proposals to improve safety and traffic flow along U.S. Highway 190 between Interstate 12 and the Claiborne Hill overpass in Covington.

Nola.comThe Times-Picayune reports (https://bit.ly/1ggBiqp ) the meeting will be June 18 at 4 p.m. at the Catholic Charities office, 69090 East Highway Service Road at the corner of Slemmer Road in Covington. The meeting had been planned for May 14, but was postponed by highway officials.
