LANSING, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources reminds people that it’s not too late to make a camping reservation at a state park during the Memorial Day weekend.

Officials say there are available campsites at many of the more than 100 parks, particularly in northern parts of the state. Parks with availability include the Upper Peninsula’s Braga and Straits state parks, North Higgins Lake State Park in Crawford County and the Thumb’s Sleeper State Park.

Temperatures in the 70s are forecast for the most of Michigan this weekend.
