EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Nikki Udria hit a two-run double and Courtney Ceo homered as the Oregon Ducks defeated Minnesota 10-2 in the opener of their NCAA Super Regional series at Howe Field on Saturday night.

Cheridan Hawkins (32-4) allowed two runs on three hits over six innings for the top-seeded Ducks.

The No. 16-seeded Golden Gophers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning when Sara Groenewegen’s RBI single to right scored Sam Macken. The Ducks evened it in the bottom half with Ceo’s solo home run off Minnesota starter Sara Moulton.

Udria hit a two-run double for the Ducks in the second inning, then scored with Ceo on a pair of Minnesota errors after Ceo singled. Ceo’s sacrifice fly capped a three-run third and the Ducks added two runs in the sixth.

Moulton allowed eight runs on eight hits in three innings for Minnesota.
