COEYMANS, N.Y. (AP) - A 24-year-old upstate New York man has been charged with murder in connection with the death of his mother in a domestic dispute at the family’s home.
Brandon Biers of Coeymans (COO-ee-mens), south of Albany, was charged with second-degree murder Sunday. Police say they found his 50-year-old mother, Theresa Micheli, dead on the floor when they arrived at the scene on a rural road about 10 miles west of the town.
Authorities say Biers called 911 around 1 a.m. Sunday morning to report the incident at the home.
