LAS VEGAS (AP) - The mother of an 11-year-old boy who was shot in the head in northwest Las Vegas has been arrested.
Las Vegas police say 31-year-old Shavon Aguilar is facing charges of attempted murder and child abuse with a deadly weapon, and two counts of child abuse with mental harm.
She’s being held at the Clark County Detention Center under the name Shavon Carrillo. Bond has been set at $120,000.
Authorities said Tuesday that the boy remains in critical condition.
The shooting happened early Monday on Pebble Beach Boulevard, near Decatur Boulevard and Las Vegas Drive. Authorities say two other children and another adult were in the home at the time, but they weren’t physically injured.
