FORT WAYNE, Ind. (AP) - Police say two people have died after a car crash in Fort Wayne.

City police say the crash happened about 3:30 a.m. Tuesday when a car went off a road as it curved on the city’s northwest side. The car went about 100 feet before slamming into a tree.

WANE-TV and WOWO radio report firefighters found the car burning when they arrived. One victim was found inside the car and the other person was outside on the ground. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police said speeding was likely a factor in the crash.

Those killed in the crash weren’t immediately identified.
