WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) - The Wake Forest School of Business has chosen an internal candidate to serve as its next dean.

A statement from the school on Tuesday said Charles Iacovou (eye-ah-COH’-vu) replaces Steve Reinemund, who served as dean for six years. Iacovou assumes his new position in July 1.

Iacovou came to the university in 2001 and has been in a leadership role with the school for seven years. He has served the last two years as vice dean, where he had oversight over undergraduate, graduate and nondegree programs.

The business school said Iacovou’s appointment does not have a set term limit.

Besides serving as vice dean, Iacovou has been director of the full-time MBA program, senior associate dean of graduate programs and senior associate dean of faculty.
