WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) - Plywood and other debris is scattered across several hundred square feet at the site of a North Dakota tornado that injured nine people, including a 15-year-old girl critically.

Authorities say at least eight trailers were destroyed Monday evening when the twister tore through the camp where oil field workers stay.

An Associated Press reporter on the scene Tuesday says four trailers and a couple of other prefabricated buildings are still standing.

It’s cool and rainy at the site and there’s very little activity.

A heavily damaged truck is flipped over on the highway and several other abandoned vehicles are nearby.

Road signs are flattened and tumbleweeds are pushed up against some electrical wires.

Fewer than a dozen people are on the scene.
