JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Officials believe a sensor erroneously detected radiation in an empty shipping container at a recycling plant in Jersey City.
The reading triggered a large emergency response on Tuesday.
A spokesman for Sims Metal Management tells the Jersey Journal (https://bit.ly/1wjUF6O ) the all clear was given after a handheld detector showed no radiation in the container.
