MONCKS CORNER, S.C. (AP) - U.S. marshals say a man wanted in the stabbing death of his girlfriend in South Carolina has been arrested in North Carolina.

Marshals arrested 59-year-old Lee Dell Bradley in a parking lot in Charlotte on Tuesday.

Bradley is charged with murder in the death of 60-year-old Frances Lawrence at her home in Berkeley County on May 22. Coroner Bill Salisbury says Lawrence died from a single stab wound to the chest.

Bradley is awaiting extradition to South Carolina. It was not clear if he has an attorney.
