SPRINGFIELD, Vt. (AP) - A Vermont high school student has been taken into custody after allegedly setting a paper towel on fire in a boys’ bathroom.

The Eagle Times reports (https://bit.ly/1tOBXlx) firefighters responded to Springfield High School shortly after 10 a.m. Tuesday for reports of smoke in a restroom and found burnt paper towels in the sink and in a trash can. Police identified a 16-year-old student through video surveillance from a hallway.

Police say there was no property damage. Students were evacuated for about 10 minutes during a fire drill.

The student, whose name was not released, is scheduled to be arraigned on a misdemeanor arson charge on July 22.
