PHILADELPHIA (AP) - A community college student charged with flashing a gun in a community college in Philadelphia is being held on $250,000 bail.

Authorities said 23-year-old Ryan Fitch was arraigned Thursday on charges of reckless endangerment, terroristic threats, simple assault and a weapons charge.

Bail was set at $250,000 and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 13.

Police were told that a student had brandished a handgun after an argument with another student in a chemistry classroom at Community College of Philadelphia shortly after noon on Wednesday.

WPVI-TV (https://bit.ly/1k3wKob) reports that an attorney for Fitch said his client never pulled the weapon inside the school but it was visible on his waist.

Police said Fitch has a license to carry a gun.
