NEW YORK (AP) - Who needs Stonehenge? Manhattan is getting its own fun in the sun.

“Manhattanhenge” starts just after 8 p.m. Thursday. The sun will line up with cross streets before setting at 8:16 p.m.

The New York Times (https://nyti.ms/1ivrMLt ) says the term “Manhattanhenge” was popularized by Hayden Planetarium Director Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The phenomenon reminded him of Stonehenge, where the sun aligns with ancient stones.

If you miss this “Manhattanhenge,” you’ll get another chance on July 12.
