KINGMAN, Ariz. (AP) - Authorities say a Kingman man is accused of aggravated DUI after his blood-alcohol level measured more than three times the legal limit for Arizona drivers.

Mohave County Sheriff’s officials say 27-year-old Ryan Cole Allen was pulled over Wednesday morning after he was clocked going 52 mph in a 35-mph zone.

Deputies say a strong odor of alcohol was detected in Allen’s vehicle, but he reportedly denied he had been drinking.

After field sobriety tests, he was taken to the Sheriff’s Office where his blood-alcohol content registered 0.262 percent. The legal limit in Arizona is 0.08 percent.

Authorities say Allen was booked into jail on suspicion of felony aggravated DUI and driving on a suspended license.

It was unclear Thursday if Allen has a lawyer yet.
