UNION, Ky. (AP) - The public can join paranormal investigators to learn about “ghost hunting” this weekend at Big Bone Lick State Historic Site in northern Kentucky.

The Tri-state Shadow Chasers will demonstrate commonly used tools and will have recorders, thermometers and other tools available to use. Bring a digital camera if you have one available.

The location’s history, including the park grounds, church and cemeteries, will be discussed.

The state Parks Department says the site is seen as the birthplace of American vertebrate paleotology for its part in developing scientific thought on extinction and the relationship of geology and paleontology.

The event starts at 10 p.m. EDT Saturday. Registration is required and costs $20 per person. Participants must be at least 13, and anyone 13 to 17 must be with an adult.
