Shooting leaves 1 wounded in Neptune

NEPTUNE TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - Gunfire has left one person wounded in Neptune.

It’s the second shooting in the Monmouth County township in five days.

Police Sgt. Scott Cox tells the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1oBGc41 ) the shooting happened around 9:45 p.m. Thursday near Route 35 and Milton Avenue.

Police do not believe the injuries are life-threatening.

The name of the victim has not been released.

A shooting in Neptune on Sunday left two men from Asbury Park wounded.
