COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Colorado Springs police wounded a man in a shootout following a welfare call.

Police have released few details in Friday afternoon’s shooting in the northeastern part of the city.

Police say officers encountered an individual who fired upon them. The man’s identity and medical condition were not released.

The shooting remains under investigation.
