FRENCHTOWN TOWNSHIP, Mich. (AP) - Firefighters have rescued several people from the top floor of a 3-story building during a blaze at a Monroe County apartment complex.

The Monroe News reports (https://bit.ly/1rvjlcK ) that more than 100 residents were evacuated Saturday from the Hidden Trails Apartments in Frenchtown Township, about 35 miles southwest of Detroit.

The fire was reported about 9 a.m. Saturday and quickly grew to multiple alarms. Aerial ladder trucks were used to spray water onto the building. No injuries were reported.

Complex resident Ben Eisbrenner told the newspaper that people “just piled out” from their buildings as the fire alarms sounded.
