COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (AP) - Authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting in Colorado Springs.
Police Lt. Catherine Buckley tells The Gazette (https://bit.ly/1nPQjQP ) that officers were performing a welfare check in a northeast Colorado Springs neighborhood when they were fired upon shortly after 1 p.m. Friday. Officers returned fire, injuring the suspect.
The man, whose name has not been released, was hospitalized, but his condition has not been released.
No officers were injured in the shooting.
Tammy Harold, who lives in the area, says she heard at least six gunshots.
