OSAGE, Iowa (AP) - A 5-year-old child has died after being struck by a car in the northern Iowa city of Osage.

The Iowa State Patrol says the accident occurred around 11:45 a.m. Saturday at an intersection. The patrol says the boy was in the roadway when he was struck by a car driven by 73-year-old Isabelle Spitz, of Osage.

The boy was identified as Kuper Malmin, of St. Ansgar (ANZ’-gur).

The accident is being investigated.
