KODIAK, Alaska (AP) - A 32-year veteran of the harbormaster’s office in Kodiak has been appointed as the city’s new harbormaster.
KMXT reports (https://is.gd/y9aJZD) Lon White was named Monday to replace the retiring harbormaster, Marty Owen.
White will officially start in his new job on Wednesday.
He was hired by the city in 1982 to work as a harbor officer. In 1995 he was promoted to the position of deputy harbormaster.
