TOMS RIVER, N.J. (AP) - It took firefighters more than an hour to extinguish a natural gas fire in Toms River.

The fire started at a natural gas station on West Water Street Sunday morning.

The blaze forced the shutdown of Garden State Parkway Exit 82 and the Toms River Bus Terminal was inaccessible for about 90 minutes.

New Jersey Natural Gas spokesman Micah Rasmussen tells the Asbury Park Press (https://on.app.com/1hroI2C ) one pipe was affected and customers did not lose service.

It’s not clear what caused the blaze.
