LOWNDESBORO, Ala. (AP) - Authorities say the body of a teen who drowned in a creek west of Montgomery has been recovered.
Relatives of 17-year-old Lucas Pantaleon told WAKA-TV (https://bit.ly/1iWwhOc ) on Monday that the teen had moved to Alabama from Mexico just months ago and was trying to have a swimming race at Cypress Creek when he went under.
Kelly Gordon of the Montgomery County Fire Department say the teen began struggling in about 14 feet of water.
Authorities have examined the teen’s body and say the drowning was accidental.
