STRASBURG, Pa. (AP) - A 10-year-old girl has been struck and killed by a car while walking along a road in Lancaster County.

It happened at around 4 p.m. Tuesday in Strasburg Township.

The Lancaster County coroner described it as an accidental death.

Coroner Stephen Diamantoni said the girl, identified as Rachel Zook, was killed by multiple blunt force trauma injuries. Diamantoni said the driver of the striking vehicle remained at the scene.

State police were handling the investigation into the crash.

The driver of the vehicle has not been identified.
