SKAGWAY, Alaska (AP) - Ferry service will resume to Skagway on Sunday.

State transportation department officials say in a release that temporary repairs have been made to the dock after it sank on April 24.

An inspection found the dock to be in good condition.

Officials say repairs were made to the vehicle ramp hydraulic system, passenger ramp and electrical system. There will be ongoing permanent repairs, which won’t interrupt ferry service.

The state ferry LeConte will make a test run Thursday ahead of service resuming.
