INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A record number of students will graduate from Ivy Tech Community College this year.

More than 20,000 credentials will be awarded to students at 14 Indiana sites this week and next. It’s the first time the number of graduates passed the 20,000 mark.

Graduation rates at the school have been climbing for years. The college reports 22 percent more students graduated this year compared to last. Over the last four years, the total number of credentials awarded has increased by 67 percent

Nearly 200,000 students attend Ivy Tech each year.

Graduation ceremonies will be held across Indiana May 8-16.
