OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Middle and high schools students from across the state will be at the Oklahoma History Center starting Wednesday showing off their exhibits, documentaries, performances and papers for a chance to take part in a national history competition.

The students in grades 6th through 12th will compete Wednesday and Thursday in a variety of categories for the chance to represent Oklahoma at the National History Day contest in Maryland in June.

The contest started at 9 a.m. Wednesday.
