TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) - A Tucson man has been convicted in the shooting death of his former business partner more than two years ago.

Pima County prosecutors say 37-year-old Bryan Peter Foshay was found guilty of the first-degree murder Wednesday. He’s scheduled to be sentenced on June 9.

Prosecutors say Foshay shot 39-year-old Brian Blackwell in the head over a dispute involving a past partnership in a medical-marijuana growing endeavor.

Blackwell was found dead inside his apartment on January 30, 2012 after a relative had stopped in to check on him.

The Arizona Daily Star reports that defense lawyers questioned a police investigation, ballistics testing and why a greater effort wasn’t made to investigate another potential suspect in the case.
