PERRYSBURG, N.Y. (AP) - A woman’s body has been recovered from an upstate New York creek.

State police say a fisherman discovered the remains Tuesday in Cattaraugus Creek in Perrysburg, about 35 miles south of Buffalo.

The remains were taken to the Erie County medical examiner’s office. Police say preliminary autopsy results indicate the body is that of a female.

The cause of death has not yet been determined.
