FORT VALLEY, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a 20-year-old Reynolds man was struck and killed by a car while walking along Georgia Highway 96 in Peach County.

Peach County Coroner Kerry Rooks said the collision happened around 9:35 p.m. Thursday, just outside of Fort Valley. Rodarious Lindsey Ladd was pronounced dead at the scene.

Georgia State Patrol Sgt. Crystal Zion tells The Telegraph (https://bit.ly/1nozyO8) that the driver of a 1995 Nissan Maxima was passing in a passing zone when he hit Ladd. The driver, who is from Warner Robins, stopped after the accident.



The State Patrol is continuing to investigate the crash.
