GREAT CACAPON, W.Va. (AP) - The Cacapon Institute is moving to a site in Morgan County where the Cacapon River empties into the Potomac River.

Executive director Frank Rodgers says in a news release that the move to Great Cacapon (kuh-KAY’-pon) reflects the institute’s expanded view.

The institute works to protect rivers and watersheds. It has been located in High View in Hampshire County for 30 years.

Rodgers says the institute’s view has expanded beyond the Cacapon Valley. It now serves eight counties in West Virginia’s Potomac Basin and is a member of the Chesapeake Bay Program.
