SALT LAKE CITY (AP) - Police have arrested a man who fled from police into a downtown Salt Lake City hotel and was caught on the ninth floor.

KSL-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1qAqxiD) police on Monday tried to pull over a stolen car near 600 South.

Police say the driver pulled into a parking lot to hide but an officer spotted the car.



A male passenger then jumped out and ran into the nearby Red Lion Hotel on 600 South and 161 West.

Officers caught up to the man on the ninth floor of the hotel.

Both he and the man driving the car were arrested for possessing a stolen car.

Police have not released either man’s name but say the two are brothers.
