JOHNS CREEK, Ga. (AP) - Authorities say a woman is recovering after being hit and dragged by a box truck outside a metro Atlanta assisted living home.

Johns Creek police Capt. Chris Byers says investigators are working to determine whether the truck driver should face charges in the Thursday afternoon accident that left a 71-year-old woman hospitalized.

Police say the woman was behind the truck and was knocked down, run over and dragged. Byers says investigators will reconstruct the scene to determine how the accident happened.

The woman was airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center. Details on the extent of her injuries weren’t immediately available.
