FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) - A 59-year-old North Texas man has been convicted of killing his wife nearly 30 years ago.

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports (https://bit.ly/1xwuNpD ) jurors on Thursday found Paul Ervin of Fort Worth guilty of murdering 26-year-old Linda Ervin in June 1985. Paul Ervin was arrested in the case that year but a grand jury declined to indict him. He was arrested again in August 2013 after detectives used DNA to link him to the death.

Police say Linda Ervin was strangled and her body was found at the couple’s home.

Ervin faces up to life in prison when he is sentenced.
