DAYTON, Ohio (AP) - City officials are preparing to mark the 20th anniversary of an international peace agreement worked out in southwest Ohio.

The Dayton Peace Accords at 20 Committee says it will discuss formation of a planning committee and a tentative schedule of events for next year. A news conference is planned Friday at the Hope Hotel and Richard C. Holbrooke Conference Center, at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

The late Holbrooke was the longtime U.S. diplomat who brokered multi-sided negotiations that led to the peace accords on Bosnia in 1995. The talks were at the base near Dayton.

The agreement is also celebrated each year with the Dayton Literary Peace Prize awards, with a lifetime achievement award named for Holbrooke.
