CINCINNATI (AP) - Twenty veterans are being inducted into the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame in Columbus.

The veterans from across Ohio will be inducted into the hall at a ceremony on Thursday in Columbus. Officials say the hall is not a military hall of fame. Inductees are recognized for serving their communities after their military service.

Charter members of the Hall of Fame created in 1992 included the six Ohio military veterans who were elected president of the United States and all Medal of Honor recipients from Ohio. Honorees have included astronauts and community leaders, among others.

Inductees come from all eras and branches of the U.S. military service.

Six veterans of World War II and one Korean War veteran are among this year’s inductees.
