PONCA, Neb. (AP) - Ponca State Park in northeast Nebraska has scheduled a day of crafts and archery this weekend.

The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission says that starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, people can make ornamental pine cone owls while learning about the owls that live in the park. At 1 p.m. there will be instruction on the history of wreaths while people use natural materials to create their own wreaths.

Starting at 2 p.m. people can learn about the history of archery hunting and then shoot some arrows.

A park entry permit is required of each vehicle entering the park, which sits just north of Ponca.
