CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - Wildlife officials are asking for the public’s help in finding the person who killed an adult buck mule deer in Jeffrey City and left the carcass to rot.
Witnesses told the Wyoming Fish and Game Department they heard a rifle shot at about 6:45 p.m. Oct. 22 and saw a four-point buck fall to the ground. The Casper Star-Tribune reports (https://bit.ly/1xboCWq ) the buck was inside an enclosed 6-foot chain link fence when it was shot.
A gold Ford Super Duty truck then drove into the area and up to the buck. A man got out of the truck, looked around, left the deer and drove away.
