MANCHESTER, England (AP) - Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini says captain Vincent Kompany will miss the English Premier League game against Queens Park Rangers on Saturday with a calf problem that could also rule him out of Belgium’s Euro 2016 qualifier against Wales this month.
Pellegrini says Kompany’s injury “is not serious but I don’t know if he will be ready for his international squad.”
Kompany will be absent from City alongside fellow defender Aleksandar Kolarov, who also has a calf injury, and Spain attacker David Silva, who has a knee problem. But midfielder Frank Lampard is available after a leg injury.
