ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Wildlife biologists plan to use pyrotechnics, spotlights and amplified crow distress calls to shoo away crowds of crows that have been roosting in the city of Albany.
The crow-hassling will be done by biologists from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
The city says in a news release that the noise and droppings from roosting crows has become a nuisance.
The work will be repeated at two-week intervals throughout the winter until the crows are dispersed.
City officials are also urging residents to put their trash in cans with lids to avoid giving the crows a free lunch.
