FORT DODGE, Iowa (AP) - The Fort Dodge airport will again be able to offer commercial flights in February.

The Fort Dodge Messenger reported (https://bit.ly/13Xj8VR ) Air Choice One will begin offering trips to Lambert-St. Louis International Airport on Feb. 23.

Airline spokeswoman Cassie Davison says that date was chosen because of all the work involved in getting ready to serve a new location.

Rhonda Chambers, the airport’s director of aviation, says the entire Fort Dodge community has been waiting a long time for the return of flights.

More than a year will have passed since Great Lakes Airlines stopped flights last February 1 because of a lack of pilots.
