KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. (AP) - A Klamath Falls man has been arrested for allegedly choking his fiancee until she lost consciousness.

The Herald and News reports (https://bit.ly/1wFKUk9 ) Thomas Lee Potter was booked into the Klamath County Jail Friday on charges of attempted murder, strangulation and fourth-degree assault.

According to Klamath Falls officials, the 54-year-old Potter alleged choked the 45-year-old woman in a room at the River Park Inn. Investigators say alcohol appears to have been involved in the incident.



According the DA’s Office, Potter has assaulted the same victim three times over the past several years. Potter’s bail was set at $500,000.

His next court appearance is on November 17.
