CAVE SPRING, Ga. (AP) - Authorities in northwest Georgia say a double shooting and assault at a gas station may have stemmed from a child custody dispute.
Floyd County Police Maj. Tom Ewing tells the Rome News-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1GEmagq ) a man and woman were hospitalized with gunshot wounds after a fight and shooting in Cave Spring. Details on the extent of their injuries weren’t immediately available.
Ewing says another man who was involved in the fight was beaten with a bat and was also hospitalized.
Ewing says two people were taken to the Law Enforcement Center in Rome for questioning. It’s unclear if any arrests have been made.
