EUNICE, La. (AP) - Police are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman who robbed the State Bank and Trust in Eunice.
Police Chief Ronald Dies says a middle-aged woman wearing a baseball cap, sunglasses, a red plaid shirt and dark pants entered the bank about 4:30 p.m. Thursday with a package she claimed was a bomb.
Dies says the woman, who also produced a gun, left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.
Dies says she left the package behind, telling the tellers it would explode if moved.
As a result, The Advertiser reports (https://bit.ly/1vTBnmS ) police evacuated the bank and sealed off a roughly two-block area around the bank.
The State Police bomb squad determined the package contained no bomb.
