LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) - The 31-year-son of a Lincoln councilman and a federal judge accused of sexually assaulting a woman after drugging her with sedatives has bonded out of jail.

Court records say Jonathan Camp is charged with sexual assault of an incompetent person. Camp’s next court appearance is set for Oct. 27. His attorney didn’t immediately return a call Friday from The Associated Press.

His parents are Councilman Jon Camp and U.S. District Judge Laurie Smith Camp. Neither returned messages left for them.

A police affidavit in support of an arrest warrant says the woman knows Jonathan Camp and says she reported that he’d drugged her at a home on the night of Sept. 8. She reported that she fell asleep and awoke later to find Camp assaulting her.
