HARDWICK, Vt. (AP) - Authorities say a car smashed into a Hardwick house, injuring two men in the car but not harming the residents.

WCAX-TV (https://bit.ly/ZzgOlc ) reports the accident happened just before 1 a.m. Saturday on Route 15 when the car left the road and ended up in the living room of the house.

Firefighters say a gas line was hit so they shut off gas and electricity to the house.

The men in the car were taken to a hospital but the extent of their injuries was not released.

The people in the house are staying with friends.
