LAS VEGAS — A federal judge in Las Vegas is ordering a Phoenix woman who threw a shoe at Hillary Rodham Clinton to live in Arizona while she awaits sentencing for trespassing.
Alison Michelle Ernst learned Thursday that she would be released under certain conditions, including living with her mother until she can find her own apartment and not having any contact with anyone or any facility protected by the Secret Service.
Ernst is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 17 for trespassing.
The 36-year-old has been in custody since shortly after throwing a soccer shoe at Clinton during the former U.S. secretary of state’s speech at Mandalay Bay resort April 10. The shoe missed the former first lady.
U.S. District Magistrate Judge George Foley Jr. earlier dismissed a misdemeanor violence charge against Ernst.
