Charlie Sheen is accused of pulling a knife on his dentist in a coke-fueled rage last Thursday, but his lawyer said the actor just had a bad reaction to the “noxious gas.”

Mr. Sheen is under investigation for felony assault with a deadly weapon after he allegedly went into a rage while sitting in the dental chair at a Los Angeles office.

The dental technician told police officers that the actor struck her after she placed a mask over his face to administer nitrous oxide, TMZ reported.

She said chaos ensued after she exited the room and Mr. Sheen’s security guard entered.

TMZ reports: “Charlie’s personal dentist was there along with the oral surgeon. There was a lot of commotion and the technician says when Charlie’s dentist finally came out he told her Charlie pulled a knife and went after him. The dentist wasn’t hurt. The technician also told cops the bodyguard told the dentist Charlie was high on rock cocaine. “

Police are currently investigating the incident.

Mr. Sheen’s lawyer Marty Singer called the allegations “completely fabricated.”

“No bodyguard made the absurd [cocaine] statement to the dentist. Charlie had a bad reaction to the noxious gas put in his mouth and nose,” he told TMZ.

Law enforcement sources later told TMZ that the dentist completely refuted the technician’s claims.

Mr. Sheen’s lawyer said the technician was only lashing out because she was later fired from the dental office.

“The story is being made up by this woman [the dental technician] who was fired on Friday for violating HIPAA by telling her son Charlie was in the office. It got back to Charlie and the dentist fired her,” Mr. Singer told TMZ.

Mr. Sheen’s representative, Jeff Ballard, said his client was on medication for a shoulder injury and the combination with the gas caused a bizarre reaction. He said Mr. Sheen’s arms did flail and that he accidentally knocked over a tray full of dental instruments.

Gossip Cop reports that the troubled actor has a history with knives. In December 2013,  Mr. Sheenapparently upset that he was being excluded from a Christmas vacation with his family, posted a photo on Twitter of a knife.

He also pleaded guilty to assault after a Christmas 2009 incident with ex-wife Brooke Mueller, which also allegedly involved a knife, the website reported.
