CASPER, Wyo. (AP) - The Casper police chief says a man who was shot to death by officers drew his weapon on the officers as they responded to a domestic disturbance report.
Police Chief Jim Wetzel says the man, who was shot at about 9:20 p.m. Tuesday, died Wednesday morning at Wyoming Medical Center.
Wetzel tells the Casper Star-Tribune (https://bit.ly/1vcADc1 ) that the two officers who were involved were placed on paid administrative leave, as is policy in the case of officer-involved shootings. He did not release their names.
Kebin Haller, director of operations for the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, has not released the name of the man who was shot.
