GUNTOWN, Miss. (AP) - Guntown police are investigating the death of a maintenance worker.

Police Chief Michael Hall tells the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (https://bit.ly/1x1UXOP) authorities responded to the H.M. Richards frame shop Wednesday and found Raymond Reece, of Booneville, had been electrocuted while working on a machine.

Hall say they were told Reece thought he had the power turned off, but it was not.

The chief says medical personnel arrived and began CPR and continued efforts to revive 46-year-old Raymond Reece, of Booneville, as he was being taken to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Gillentine says Reece was pronounced dead at 12:14 p.m.
